Yaowarat Road Yaowarat Road or "The Dragon Road", built in 1891 under King Rama V's reign, is a part of the famed Chinese-Thai community with a very long history. In the past, Yaowarat Road was the main commercial avenue before Silom Road, as you see the evidence of its greatness from the commerical buildings which are regarded as the very first construction of its kind.
